Smart Patrol
RTcom™ SMART Patrol is Radio-Tech’s AMR Data Management and Meter Reading software application. When connected to the SMART Rx USB Receiver, it can be used to collect and process the data transmitted from Radio-Tech’s RTcom™ SMART Logs. SMART Patrol software can be used with both Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and XP operating systems. Once a route has been loaded from Billing or a Route Management System, the meter reading vehicle can be driven at posted road speeds along a route to collect the data requested from surrounding RTcom™ SMART Logs; a 6-month profile at 30-minute intervals can be wirelessly downloaded in 15 sec’s. This rapid data capture helps to further reduce the ‘per meter cost’ of meter reading, whilst delivering significant improvements in meter reading efficiency.

- Allows for installation of new devices in the field
- Free format note facility, from drive to billing and from billing to driver
- CSV Export function for further data processing

| Operational Overview |
The RTcom™ SMART Patrol Application is a sophisticated piece of software that is capable of much more than just data collection. Its flexible design allows for ‘paperless’ installation of new devices in the field, user defined download periods and dynamic field analysis of flow information, helping to further improve both customer service and meter reading efficiencies.
Prior to driving the route, meter readers can define a preferred download period, maximising their read efficiency by ensuring that they do not spend any unnecessary time in the field duplicating reads that they may have previously received. The meter reader can choose between 1 to 52 weeks of profiled information to download; factory default is 4-weeks for fast drive-by speeds.
Once the data has been received via the SMART Rx USB, the application will analyse and construct a graphical representation of flow within seconds for the given time period. This information can be analysed in the field using a moving time bar to depict exact time vs. flow information, or it can be analysed retrospectively in an office based environment once the entire route has been completed. Once the route has been driven and all accounts interrogated, the profiled event and consumption information can be simply exported in
a CSV format for further analysis or billing.
