Smart Log

The Smart Log unit itself mounts magnetically to the underside of the lid of the meter pit – a metal plate is supplied for ease of attachment to non-magnetic pit lids. From here, its 869MHz transmissions can reach nearby streets for collection, with a range of up to 100m. In case of this range being insufficient a repeater or booster can be used.

The unit holds a large amount of internal memory, so that it can store a year of data including flow data for every 30-minute interval, backflow data, tamper detection information, maximum and minimum flow, and leak detection.

With normal operating temperatures of -10 to +40oC, a case capable of being submersed in the medium term and a battery life of 10 years, the Smart Log unit is resilient and capable.
