The Remote Legionella Control & Monitoring System consist of:
RTcom Legion
The Rtcom Legion has been designed to be installed on the sentinel outlets to monitor the temperature once per week which exceeds the monthly requirement detailed in Table 3 of ACOP L8. The test which is carried out once per week will control the flow of both hot and cold for the required 1 minute and 2 minutes recording 6 temperature readings for each service throughout the specified time period. The number of sentinel taps should be found in your legionella control file and risk assessment.
Note on Sentinel taps: For hot water services - First and last taps on a recirculating system. For cold water systems or non recirculating hot water systems), the nearest and furthest taps from the storage tank. The choice of sentinel taps may also include other taps which are considered to represent a particular risk.
RTcom 1DT
The Rtcom 434 1DT should be mounted on the flow and return on the calorifier and also on the inlet and outlet of the Cold water storage tank. This will complete the temperature monitoring side of the system enabling you to eliminate the need to manually inspect the cold and hot water temperature monthly.
Data Concentrator
The data concentrator is the hub that all of the transmitters including the RTcom Legion transmit the data to using radio frequency. The data can then be uploaded via GPRS to the GlobalNet secure server farm allowing you to access the information anywhere around the world via the internet.
