Clip-on Rail Temperature Transmitter
Radio-tech’s RTM clip-on temperature transmitter collects information about the temperature of the rails and send this to a data logger. It can be fitted to running rails in less than a minute without the need for tools. Once installed, each RTM transmitter shares the same profile as an insulator clip, making them virtually invisible to vandals and resistant to tamping and other on-track machine work.
- Battery life 6-10 years
- Accuracy +/- 0.5C between -10C and + 85C
- Tilt, tamper and detection alarms
- Flood resistant sealing
- Radio operating frequency 434MHz WBFM
Track-side Radio Data Logger
The data logger automatically detects and logs information sent from transmitters located within its reception radius of up to 70m. The logger then automatically reports back to the central server synchronising its time clock.
The track side data logger is available in two formats to cater for all locations: Pole mounting box and Bollard Housing
- One track side logger accepts up to 8 clip-on rail temperature probes
- Operating radius typically 70m
- Precision integrated real time clock
- Integrated tri-band GSM/SMS data modem and antenna
- Lithium batter technology giving 6-12 field months operation without the need for solar assistance (Allows it to be placed within tunnels etc.)

Rtcom legion
The Rtcom legion has been designed to meet the legal requirements for Legionella monitoring in the UK. It is installed on sentinel outlets to test water once a week. The test controls the flow of both hot and cold water for the required 1 and 2 minutes, recording 6 temperature readings for each service throughout the specified time period.
