Awards

The UK Railway Industry Innovation award 2006 & Halma Plc Innovation award 2006

The Radio-Tech Limited RTM Rail Temperature Monitoring system is an award winning advanced, practical, cost effective and proved alternative to deploying manpower to measure on a temporary or permanent basis summer or winter running temperature of rails, particularly in restricted areas such as "red" zones.

Each system comprises of up to eight rail mounted, covert, clip-on, wireless temperature transmitters, track side data logger/s and a central data server running the RTM Rail Temperature Monitoring application software which can handle either 13 sites with one temperature point or a mixture of sites with more than one transmitter but still totally 13-points.

Installation is simple and fast! The RTM clip-on temperature transmitters can be fitted to running rails in less than a minute without the need for tools. Installed each RTM transmitter, shares the same physical profile as an insulator clip making them invisible to vandals and resistant to tamping.
