The start point of any system is the retro-fit or embedded meter transmitter, available for pulse output and a selection of protocol communication interfaces, the battery powered transmitters act like a mini data logger, using advanced micro power technology to accumulate the total number of pulses / switch closures before broadcasting the total over a secure encrypted radio carrier for remote collection.

An Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) system encompassing both sub and district meters provides the end user with latest consumption figures and trends over time, but facilities managers still find it difficult to pin point leaks and wasteful processes with consumption data alone, this is where Radio-Tech's embedded leak detection firmware eradicates this problem. The embedded flow profiling firmware provides "low flow", "night-flow", "high-flow" registers highlighting consumption oddities in an instant and pinpointing the leak.
