Global-Net

Global-Net is the name given to our new Integrated Asset Management and Billing System. Launched in 2006, the system is intended to complete the missing section of the data delivery chain, creating a seamless path from the asset in the field to the chosen destination.

The system is akin to a spider’s web, with data collected from the assets and sent inwards to the centre of the network at our dedicated secure data servers. From there they can be passed on to you in the format of your choice – the information can be viewed online via a browser, passed on directly to your servers via FTP or encapsulated in email. Warnings and data summaries can be delivered by SMS text. In fact, there is no real limit to the format of data delivery – arrange it with us and we can provide.

Similarly, data can be brought to our servers via any number of media – low power radio, licensed radio, SMS, GSM, GPRS, LAN, e-mail, FTP, HTTP, PTSN, and even manual data entry. Data is managed securely, behind tiered passwords and layers of firewalls.

The system is normally a subscription service, charged either per asset or per message delivered. However, the system is flexible and other finance strategies can be arranged.

Global Net is designed to be a comprehensive asset management tool, allowing you to take data from a wide range of assets and transfer it onto our servers via the most appropriate medium for that application. From there, you can select the form of data delivery most appropriate to you and enjoy the benefits of customisable, flexible data management.
